Group spiritual direction is a safe, communal space for listening and sharing to help each other heal, grow, and become more attentive to God in our lives.
Spiritual direction creates space for deeper connection with God through honest conversation about your spiritual journey. In group spiritual direction, a small group of people meet regularly with a trained director to share their experiences, listen deeply to one another, and discover how God is present in their daily lives.
My approach centers on creating a confidential environment where participants can explore questions about faith, process spiritual experiences, and support one another’s growth. Whether you’re navigating life transitions, seeking healing from past wounds, or simply wanting to become more attentive to God’s presence, group spiritual direction offers a structured yet gentle and communal way to deepen your spiritual awareness.
If you’re drawn to this kind of spiritual community, I’d love to hear from you. I form groups on an as-needed basis. Fill out the form below to join the waitlist, and I’ll reach out when a group is forming that might be a good fit.

Questions
Who is group spiritual direction for?
Group spiritual direction is for anyone who desires a safe, confidential group of spiritual companions to share and grow with. Group spiritual direction can be especially helpful for people who have shared spiritual experiences, such as working through faith questions, healing from spiritual abuse, or groups of spiritual leaders. I am sensitive to group dynamics and make every effort to assure that each group is a safe space where each person’s experience is welcome and honored.
Do I need to have experience with spiritual direction?
Not at all. Group spiritual direction welcomes people at any stage of their spiritual journey. Some participants are new to intentional spiritual practice, while others have years of experience. The diversity of perspectives often enriches the group experience.
How large are the groups and how long is the commitment?
Groups typically consist of 3-5 participants plus myself as the director. We meet monthly for 90 minutes over a period of 8-10 months, allowing relationships and trust to develop naturally while maintaining a manageable commitment.
In order for trust to be established, it is important for group members to commit to the agreed duration. At the end of this time, the group will reflect on their experience and discern whether to conclude or continue.
What can I expect during a typical meeting?
Group spiritual direction meetings typically occur online once a month. After briefly catching up with each other, meetings begin with a centering practice, followed by time for each person to share what they’re noticing in their spiritual life. The group listens contemplatively and may offer gentle reflections or questions. I facilitate the conversation to ensure everyone has space to share and that we maintain appropriate boundaries.
How do you ensure confidentiality?
Confidentiality is foundational to our work together. At our first meeting, we commit to a set of core values, including confidentiality and hospitality to one another. What is shared in the group stays in the group, creating the safety needed for authentic spiritual exploration.
Is there a cost?
There is no set fee for group spiritual direction meetings, but people often financially support the ministry of a spiritual director. A suggested donation range is $15-30 per session, and I ask people to consider if they are able to commit to any amount of support as each group begins.
